As a politically and financially independent association, the DWA promotes sustainable water management and the fostering of research and development. The DWA is a platform for exchanging ideas and opinions and provides consulting services to politicians.
It develops sets of rules and standards such as the DWA advisory leaflets.
DWA rules and standards provide security and orientation during planning , construction, operation and maintenance of water resources management plants.
- Member in the DWA work group "measurement data in drainage systems", participation in the advisory leaflets DWA-M 181 and DWA-M 151.
