Security warning: Scam emails circulating
There are currently emails in circulation purportedly sent by Hyquest Solutions asking for information about outstanding payments. The emails contain a note stating that the next step is to submit amended bank details for the settlement of these payments.
These emails do NOT originate from Hyquest Solutions, but are sent by criminals who want to obtain payments to their own accounts in this way. The only directly visible indication that the mails are not genuine is the sender, which in this example is a email.com mail address and not a KISTERS mail address.
For your safety, please follow these measures if you receive such emails:
- Do not reply to these e-mails.
- Inform the CISO of the KISTERS Group (itsecurity(at)kisters.de), and forward this email to him directly or as a screenshot.
- If you are unsure whether the email is genuine or a forgery, call your contact person at Hyquest Solutions or KISTERS and clarify the matter by telephone. Please use the telephone numbers you are familiar with and NOT the telephone numbers from the e-mail, as these could also be fake.
