International WISKI User Conference in Aachen
On 24 and 25 June, the second International WISKI User Conference was held in Aachen and attracted many WISKI users from all over Europe.
The mix of keynote speeches, user presentations and KISTERS’ own lectures kept interest levels high over the two days. The parallel workshops also enriched the conference, as did the accompanying trade exhibition that was held for the first time this year and proved particularly popular during the breaks.
The topics ranged from serious gaming with SECOM (RWTH Aachen) and cutting edge information systems for flooding (waterinfo.be) to the GEMStat global database and diverse product-specific topics from the points of view of customers, users and manufacturers on WISKI, SODA, Mobile Water Tracker and iQuest data loggers.
The relaxed atmosphere of the dynamic and open exchanges between KISTERS and its customers on current product statuses, new features, user expectations and the joint organisation of the experience sharing programmes such as user groups and forums (for example, the KiScript Forum) deserves a special mention.
The international WISKI User Conference provides a framework for sharing experience across language barriers: simultaneous German/English interpreting was provided for all presentations and delegates from various countries could be seen talking and mingling together during every break.
The event was rounded off by an attractive cultural programme including a guided tour of the city and an evening meal together on Lousberg Hill.
Participants can download the presentations from the download area provided on KISTERS’ customer website.
KISTERS is looking forward to the next International Conference in 2016. In 2015, the usual separate German- and English-speaking WISKI User Conferences will be held. Information on these events will be provided in due course on the event pages of KISTERS’ website.
